Troubleshooting the "Not authorized" login error

Learn how to resolve the "Not authorized" error screen when signing in to Hyperproof.

Overview

When attempting to sign in to Hyperproof, you may encounter a screen displaying a "Not authorized" message that prevents you from accessing your organization or client accounts. This article provides step-by-step instructions for clearing your session and successfully signing in to Hyperproof.

Key benefits

  • Quickly resolve authentication loops without waiting for support.

  • Restore access to Hyperproof and client environments.

Resolving the login error

Follow these steps to clear your current session and sign in to Hyperproof:

  1. Open your browser address bar.

  2. Type or paste [https://hyperproof.app/signout](https://hyperproof.app/signout) directly into the address bar.

  3. Press Enter on your keyboard to perform a sign-out.

Note: Do not click the Sign in button on the error page screen. Typing the URL directly in the address bar is required to clear both your Hyperproof session and your identity provider session.

  1. Navigate to the Hyperproof sign-in page and enter your credentials when prompted.

Additional troubleshooting

If the sign-out step does not resolve the error, try these additional methods:

  • Use an incognito window: Open a new incognito or private browsing window and attempt to sign in to Hyperproof. This starts a session without existing cookies.

  • Clear site data: Clear the site data and cookies for hyperproof.app in your browser settings. Restart your browser before trying to sign in again.
