Roles and permissions
The following users can update a risk with evaluation data:
Anyone with manager permissions for the risk evaluation.
If your organization is conducting risk assessments, the risk evaluation records that collect updated risk data are part of that assessment. Once a risk evaluation record is complete and approved, the next step is to update the associated risk with the new data collected during the evaluation. There are two paths to accomplish this task.
Automatic risk updates
If the approval workflow for the risk evaluation has the Automatically update risk option turned on for the approval, the associated risk is updated with the evaluation data when the evaluation is approved. No other work is necessary.
Manual risk updates
If no approval workflow is configured, or the approval workflow on the risk evaluation has the Automatically update risk option turned off, the associated risk is not updated with the evaluation data when the evaluation is approved. Instead, the evaluation manager or assignee must open the evaluation and select Update risk.
From the left menu, select Assessments.
Select the risk assessment containing the evaluation you want to update.
Select the Evaluations tab.
Locate and open the evaluation for the risk you want to update.
Click the Update risk button.
A confirmation window displays.Click Continue to update the risk.
The evaluation status changes to Approved and the risk is updated with the changes from the evaluation.
