Release Notes - 2026-AUG-12

Note: These features, updates, and addressed issues are released first in Hyperproof US and Hyperproof EU on the date noted in the title. They are released in Hyperproof Gov one week later unless otherwise noted.

Improved

Assign ServiceNow tasks directly to ServiceNow users and groups

You can now assign ServiceNow-integrated tasks directly to a ServiceNow user or group, without first creating matching users and groups in Hyperproof.

  • When you connect a task to ServiceNow, Hyperproof automatically pulls in your ServiceNow groups and users so they are available for assignment.

  • In the Grid View, tasks assigned through ServiceNow are now clearly marked as coming from an external service.

  • This feature applies to both Tasks and Repeating Tasks.

Note: We're gradually rolling out the same capability for Jira task integrations. If you are a Jira integration user and don't see this feature yet, know it will be available soon, and no action is needed on your end.

Bulk edit due date, priority, and custom fields on repeating tasks

  • Managers can now select multiple repeating tasks in the grid view and update the due date, priority, and custom fields for all of them at once, without needing to edit each task individually.

  • Only users with manager permissions on the parent target object can bulk edit assignees.

Easily update the proof version on requests

Previously, only proof owners could control which version of proof was provided on a request. We've now added request members to this list as well. Specifically:

  • Proof owners who are members of the request can update the proof version.

  • Request managers who are direct contributors or managers of the proof can also update the proof version.

This applies to all types of evidence (proof from a task, Livesync, Hypersync) and makes it easier to keep proof current without needing to loop in someone outside the request.

Note: Proof versions can't be changed if the request is set to Approved or Closed.

Risks API

  • Added new API endpoints that provide support for returning Risk Registers.

Hypersyncs and integrations

We have added or updated the following proof types:

  • Hypersync-generated PDF proof now has a refreshed look, with a cleaner layout and a new typeface for improved readability.

  • New! Hypersync for AWS: List of DB Cluster Snapshots - Provides a record of backup snapshots taken for clustered Amazon RDS databases, covering both Aurora DB clusters and Multi-AZ DB cluster deployments, including automated and manually-triggered snapshots.

  • New! Hypersync for AWS: List of DB Snapshots - Provides a record of backup snapshots for standard, single-instance RDS databases (automated and manual). Complements the existing Aurora/Multi-AZ cluster snapshot List of DB Cluster Snapshots proof so the full RDS footprint is covered for backup evidence.

  • New! Hypersync for Okta: List of User Deactivation Events - Tracks every user deactivation event in Okta, with full actor context, to show whether each deactivation was triggered by an automated offboarding process or a human admin, supporting access termination evidence.

  • Updated! Hypersync for Okta: Global Session Policies - Expanded proof schema to provide a more comprehensive view of Global Session Policies, including additional details on Location, Identity Provider, MFA configuration, and more.

  • Updated! Hypersync for Bitbucket: List of Pull Requests - This enhancement expands the status coverage to include open, merged, declined, and superseded, including filtering support. The field set has also been expanded, so the proof is usable as complete, accurate evidence.

  • Updated! Hypersync for Snowflake: List of Users and Roles - Updated the roles listing to break the roles down by roles that the user has membership in vs. roles that they have ownership of to ensure full visibility into both operational access and administrative ownership.

Addressed issues

  • Fixed an issue in the Hypersync for SentinelOne Alerts proof type where endpoint threat alerts were omitted. (Case # 00012280)

  • Fixed an issue where Hyperproof users assigned User or Compliance Manager roles were unable to create or import contacts, and encountered disabled submit buttons when adding new contacts during bulk imports. (Case # 00012358)

  • Fixed an issue where Task I created email notifications bypassed user preference filters, preventing users from opting out of task creation notifications. (Case # 00012429, 00012474)

  • Fixed an issue in the Access Reviews module where updating a reviewer to Assign to direct manager before launching an access review caused a permission error for assigned managers, preventing them from accessing their assigned review. (Case # 00012349)

  • Fixed an issue when creating new controls or issues, where the Add them to Hyperproof contact creation option did not display without scrolling through the entire user dropdown list. (Case # 00012358)

  • Fixed an issue in the Programs module where archiving a program failed to revoke inherited permissions, allowing Limited Access Users to retain unintended access to linked controls and issues. (Case # 00012479)

  • Fixed an issue in the Hypersync for Snowflake where Hyperproof didn't accept valid private key formatting, preventing successful connection setup. (Case # 00012470)

  • Fixed an issue in creating an access review directory using the Hypersync for BambooHR, where pending employees without email addresses were not filtered out. (Case # 00012491)

  • .. plus other fit and finish, performance, stability, and security issues — as always!
