Configuring dashboard widgets with multiple filter parameters

This breakdown explains how permanent and real-time filter types work, helping you choose the correct filter for your specific use case.

Note: This option pertains to the Hyperproof TPRM product line.

Permanent or dataset-level filters

Dataset-level filters in the left sidebar provide a permanent, fixed foundation for your data. Once you set these filters, you cannot change them from the main dashboard.

  • These filters use AND logic between multiple conditions.

  • Example: To see records where "Met with Business?" is Empty AND "Next Scorecard Due Date" is within the next 60 days, this is the correct place to put them. This ensures that a record must meet both criteria to be included.

Real-time or widget-level filters

Widget-level or real-time filters in the top-right corner let you filter the dashboard directly, updating values in real time.

  • These filters use OR logic between multiple conditions.

  • Example: Using the example above, if you place your criteria here, the widget pulls records that match either condition, rather than both, so the results would not match your goals.
