Release Notes - 2026-MAY-20

Hyperproof release notes

Improved

Explore by panel

  • For each field in the Explore by panel, there is now a Select All option.

Repeating Task Organizer

  • New Organizer field on repeating tasks: A new editable "Organizer" field has been introduced, separate from the static "Creator" field, allowing admins to reassign ownership of repeating tasks without altering the original audit trail.

  • Improved task integrations: Task integrations (Jira, Asana, ServiceNow) now use the Organizer's credentials instead of the original creator's, preventing broken integrations when a user is deactivated.

  • Accurate "Created by" attribution: Tasks created from repeating task templates now show the Organizer as the creator, rather than a potentially deactivated user.

  • Bulk editing support: Organizer can be updated in bulk via the grid view, making it easy to reassign at scale.

The repeating task organizer feature is most relevant when experiencing any of the following:

  • The user who set up the repeating task is deactivated or is on extended leave.

    • This helps the task integrations, and if the "Created by" field is inaccurately showing a former employee

  • Task integrations (Jira, Asana, SNOW) are broken and need to be re-created because credentials are tied to someone who has left the business.

  • Administrators want to manage repeating tasks centrally instead of being limited by the original creator

  • Users need to update the "creator" of a repeating task. All of the functionalities originally tied to the creator are now tied to the Organizer.

Task target

  • Updated the task creation workflow when creating a task from Work items > Tasks to allow adding a task target, such as a control, during the initial task configuration.

Hypersyncs and integrations

Hypersyncs:

  • New! You can now schedule Hypersyncs to run quarterly. If you choose the Quarterly scheduling option, after the initial sync, the Hypersync runs on the 1st of January, April, July, and October.

  • New! Hypersync for Okta proof type: Global Session Policies - Provides a list of Okta's Global Session Policies, including idle timeout and max session lifetime

  • New! Hypersync for AWS proof type: Backup: Restore Testing - Pulls restore job records from AWS Backup to demonstrate that critical databases and resources are being regularly tested for recoverability.

  • New! Microsoft Entra ID proof type: List of Directory Role Permissions - Lists Microsoft Entra ID permissions by role.

New integrated Help Center

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Help Center, now powered by Intercom. This transition represents a significant step forward in how we support our users, providing a more streamlined, intuitive, and effective self-service experience.

Why the move to Intercom?

By hosting our knowledge base directly within the Intercom ecosystem, we are creating a unified support environment. Key benefits include:

  • Enhanced AI capabilities: This migration directly empowers the Hyperproof AI support agent. By having direct access to our latest articles in a native format, the agent can now provide more accurate, conversational, and context-aware answers to your questions in real-time.

  • Seamless user experience: You can now view the source help articles directly in the in-app messenger, allowing you to browse and read articles without leaving Hyperproof.

  • Dedicated web portal: If you prefer to access the full Help Center, you can access it as a standalone web page at any time.

  • Faster updates: Our team can now publish and update documentation more efficiently, ensuring you always have access to the most current information.

Accessing the new Help Center

The new Help Center is available across our three primary instances. Please update your bookmarks to the relevant link below:

Important transition timeline

Following our May 20th software release, we will begin the process of decommissioning our legacy help center.

Note on redirects: To ensure a smooth transition, we will configure automatic redirects from old article URLs to their new counterparts. You shouldn't encounter any "404 Not Found" errors during this period, but we recommend using the new search functionality to explore the improved layout.

We are confident that these improvements will make finding the answers you need faster and easier than ever. Thank you for being a valued part of our community!

Addressed issues

  • Fixed an issue in the Hypersync for Microsoft Entra ID List of Groups proof type where the group permissions field was left blank in the generated evidence file, preventing users from viewing permission data. (Case # 00011627)

  • Fixed an issue where Limited Access Users were unable to access or view evaluations assigned to them, blocking them from completing their work items via the email notification link or the user interface. (Case # 00011823)

  • Fixed an issue in the Hypersync for BambooHR List of Employees and List of Employees With Status proof types, where empty rows were incorrectly inserted before the actual data in the generated proof files. (Case # 00011677)

  • Fixed an issue where navigating to a control's Automations tab caused a full-page application failure if the underlying external connection for a Hypersync had been deleted. (Case # 00012018)

  • Fixed an issue where uploading proof or updating requirement details within a program caused sudden session terminations and forced user logouts. (Case # 00011665)

  • Fixed an issue in the SharePoint integration where certain sites or folders intermittently disappeared from the proof picker and could not be accessed. (Case # 00011836)

  • Fixed an issue where you could not provide a previous version of Hypersync-created proof on requests. (Case # 00011808)

  • Fixed an issue in the Audits module where importing requests from a CSV file failed to populate or update custom fields, leaving the field values blank or unchanged even when headers matched. (Case # 00011946)

  • Fixed an issue in Hyperproof Gov instances where active users logging in via Single Sign-On (SSO) were blocked from accessing the application due to premature token expiration handling.(Case # 00011960)

  • Fixed an issue in the Controls module where custom field values on standalone controls failed to persist and disappeared upon refreshing the page within organizations that have hierarchical scopes enabled. (Case # 00011995)

  • Fixed the Hypersync for Tenable timeout errors by adding a Severity filter and improving paging to handle high data volumes. (Case# 00011615)

  • Fixed an issue in the task notification system where contacts assigned to work items did not receive automated email notifications. (Case # 00012021)
