Roles and permissions
The following roles can archive an issue:
Anyone with manager permissions for the issue
Contributors can only archive issues they've created
The following roles can unarchive an issue:
Anyone with manager permissions for the issue
Archiving an issue removes it from view, but doesn’t completely remove it from Hyperproof. This is helpful should you need to access an archived issue in the future.
Archiving an issue
From the left menu, select the tab that corresponds to the issue you want to archive. For example, if you want to archive an issue that's linked to a control, select the Controls tab.
Select the object that corresponds with the issue you want to archive. For example, if the issue is linked to control ID 1234, select that control.
Select the Issues tab.
Select the issue you want to archive.
In the right pane, click the Archive icon.
The Are you sure… window opens.
Click Archive.
The issue is archived.
Bulk archiving issues
From the left menu, select Work items.
Select the Issues tab.
Select the checkboxes for the issues you want to archive.
Click the Archive link at the top of the grid.
The Review and confirm window displays.Click Confirm to archive the selected issues.
Unarchiving an issue
If the source object for an issue is archived, you can't unarchive the issue. A message appears in the issue's right panel, indicating that the item's source has been archived. For example, if the issue's source is a control and that control is archived, you can't unarchive the issue until you first unarchive the control.
From the left menu, select the tab that corresponds to the issue you want to unarchive. For example, if you want to unarchive an issue that's linked to a control, select the Controls tab.
Select the object that corresponds to the issue you want to unarchive. For example, if the issue is linked to control ID 1234, select that control.
Select the Issues tab.
Scroll to the end of the issues list, and then click Show archived.
Select the issue you want to unarchive. You can view all components of the archived issue, including details, notes, and linked labels, and proof.
In the right pane, click Unarchive.
The issue is unarchived and moved back into the issues list.
Bulk unarchiving issues
If the source object for an issue is archived, you can't unarchive the issue. When bulk unarchiving, if you select an issue with an archived source, the Unarchive link doesn't appear. If you open the affected issue, a message appears in the issue's right panel, indicating that the item's source has been archived. For example, if the issue's source is a control and that control is archived, you can't unarchive the issue until you unarchive the control first.
From the left menu, select Work items.
Select the Issues tab.
At the bottom of the window, select Show archived.
Select the checkboxes for the issues you want to unarchive.
Click the Unarchive link at the top of the window.
The Review and confirm window displays.Click Confirm.
